- Wake up 30 Minutes Early.
Get up 30 minutes before the alarm goes off and take the first half hour for yourself. Once you get busy and into the day there never seems to be the time for yourself. Take this time to plan getting the most from the day.
- Read, Listen, or Watch Something Uplifting.
Make this a daily habit. Get out of starting the day with no mental food. A great day does not begin with the news or the paper, it begins with ideas or energy that will propel you through the day. What you first hear will stay with you throughout the day.
- Eat a Good Breakfast to Start You Off Right.Get something good into your body to wake it up and get it going. Think about the energy you will need to perform. Everyday we run a marathon. What would you need to eat and drink to win it.
- Choose Your Winning Attitude. There is enough to go wrong without sabotaging yourself. Your attitude is a choice you make. Don't let it come between you and your success. Be careful to keep it positive all day long.
- Be Aware of What They are Telling You.The people around us have a profound effect on how we get through life. Our closest friends and family are our greatest environmental influences. Make sure you have the best advisors you can find.
- Make the Most of What You Do.
When you get to your work, make it the best place to be. Most people go to work and never think about work while they are there. Focus on your contribution. What would it be like if you were not around. Strive to give a 100% each and every day.
- Always Remember that People are Listening.Make a point of talking well of others. Wish others the best in life. What goes around does come around. Don't talk negative about anyone. Try to understand their circumstances Practice being a support system to your friends and family. They need you.
- Be Honest and Fair to Others. It does make a difference. What you give to others is usually what you get from others. Practice integrity that people can see and feel. Be aware of what you say. Learn to walk your talk at all times. The more people trust you, the more of their time they will trust with you.
- Pace Your Energy to Last All Day.Be careful of bursts of energy. Pace your energy throughout the day. If you get to crazy early in the day, you will reach a point of exhaustion before the day is over. By planning your entire day before you begin, you will have what you need. You've heard the old saying "look alive."
- Get in Bed Early and Study for the Future.
I have a friend who keeps a journal at his bedside. Every night he writes what he learned new on that day. The only way to keep one step above the masses is to learn new ways to do things. Develop the habit of reading a work or personal development book before you go to sleep. Reading for 30 minutes a day is like a year of college. You can't succeed if you don't read. Remember throughout your day that life is what we make it, day by day. Practice having the best day ever. It adds up to a great life.

Ten Ways to Have a Better Day!

"What does Love mean?"
A group of professional people posed this question to a group of four through eight year olds, "What does love mean?" The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:
"Love is that first feeling you feel before all the bad stuff gets in the way."
"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn’t bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That’s love."
"When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You know that your name is safe in their mouth."
"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other."
"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your french fries without making them give you any of theirs."
"Love is when someone hurts you. And you get so mad but you don’t yell at them because you know it would hurt their feelings."
"Love is what makes you smile when you’re tired."
"Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK."
"Love is what’s in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen."
"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate."
"When you tell someone something bad about yourself and you’re scared they won’t love you anymore. But then you get surprised because not only do they still love you, they love you even more."
"There are two kinds of love: Our love and God’s love. But God makes both kinds of them."
"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday."
"Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well."
"During my piano recital, I was on a stage and scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn’t scared anymore."
"My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don’t see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night."
"Love is when mommy gives daddy the best piece of chicken."
"Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day."
"I let my big sister pick on me because my Mom says she only picks on me because she loves me. So I pick on my baby sister because I love her."
"Love cards like Valentine’s cards say stuff on them that we’d like to say ourselves, but we wouldn’t be caught dead saying."
"When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you"
"You really shouldn’t say ‘I love you’ unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget."

The Claddagh - Love, Friendship, Loyalty
The Claddagh is a visual portrayal of the
eternal bond of friendship, loyalty, and love.
The Heart symbolizes love, life's finest impulse.
From it, generosity and compassion flow.
The Hands of friendship are clasped around the heart
in a gesture of giving. As they cradle the heart gently,
the hands are both protective and strong,
like true friendship.

The Crown symbolizes loyalty.
It represents the reward of love,
the highest achievement
the human spirit has yet accomplished.

The "Second" Ten Commandments!
- Thou shall not worry, for worry is the most unproductive of all human activities.
- Thou shall not be fearful, for most of the things we fear never come to pass.
- Thou shall not cross bridges before you come to them, for no one yet has succeeded in accomplishing this.
- Thou shall face each problem as it comes. You can only handle one at a time anyway.
- Thou shall not take problems to bed with you, for they make very poor bedfellows.
- Thou shall not borrow other people’s problems. They can better care for them than you can.
- Thou shall not try to relive yesterday for good or ill, it is forever gone. Concentrate on what is happening in your life and be happy now!
- Thou shall be a good listener, for only when you listen do you hear ideas different from your own. It is hard to learn something new when you are talking, and some people do know more than you do.
- Thou shall not become "bogged down" by frustration, for 90% of it is rooted in self-pity and will only interfere with positive action.
- Thou shall count thy blessings, never overlooking the small ones, for a lot of small blessings add up to big ones.
Life Is... By Mother Teresa
Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.

A Simple Prayer For Hatii
Time has passed, the Wheel has turned.
It is time for me to move on.
I will walk hand in hand with the Ancient Ones,
and with my ancestors who came before me.
Great Mother, welcome me back into your womb,
I come to you and know I am blessed,
for my life has been one I am proud of.
As I enter your world, wrap me in your loving arms,
and welcome me.
I come to you and know I am blessed,
for my life has been one I am proud of.
As I enter your world, wrap me in your loving arms,
and welcome me.
Lord of Death, I wait for you to take me,
I come to you willingly, with eyes wide open,
as my last moment approaches on the horizon.
May I look upon you without fear, without pain,
and knowing that those who walked before me,
await me on the other side.
I come to you willingly, with eyes wide open,
as my last moment approaches on the horizon.
May I look upon you without fear, without pain,
and knowing that those who walked before me,
await me on the other side.
O Ancient Ones, give me strength to take these final steps,
and allow me to do so with peace and dignity.
Let my family mourn my passing but not my loss,
and let them heal knowing I will see them again.
Time has passed and the Wheel has turned.
It is time for me to move on.
and allow me to do so with peace and dignity.
Let my family mourn my passing but not my loss,
and let them heal knowing I will see them again.
Time has passed and the Wheel has turned.
It is time for me to move on.
**Dedicated to all those affected by death and sorrow due to the disastrous earthquake in Haiti... May the Gods keep them in their hearts and bless them and their loved ones with peace.

365 Ways to Live the Law Of Attraction (day 12)
The Law is Unbiased
The law of Attraction does not judge the value or worth of your thoughts. It cares not whether they are harmful or well intentioned. Nor does it value whether or not your thought arises from particular belief system. You may eschew religion and be an atheist or agnostic. Or, you may be deeply religious. Knowledge and practice of spiritual tradition (or lack there of belief) doesn't concern the working of the law. What matter is how you feel about what you are thinking.
Gratitude plays a role because of how it makes you feel. For example, when you are grateful for having something, you feel good and the thoughts of "having" and the positive feelings of "having" bring more of the same. The law always responds to what you are focusing on in your thoughts and the emotions generated in response to those thoughts, since feeling strengthens the attracting powers of thought.

**My Two Cents... I happen to be someone that greatly enjoys the study of religion. Religions of all types. As for my own faith, I'm rather eclectic and hold beliefs from a number of paths. However, when I was just starting to learn about the Law of Attraction, I quickly saw the parallels between the Law and numerous religious teachings. Wicca and other forms of Paganism teach and believe in the "Three Fold Law" which simply states that everything we do comes back thrice. While many Pagan believers will tell you this only applies to Magickal workings, I believe differently. In my mind, the Law of Attraction, the Three Fold Law and even other beliefs such as Karma, are all simply translations of the same principal. We get what we give! If we are doing or thinking positive things, that's what we shall get in return, conversely, if we are acting or thinking out of negativity, we aren't going to like what returns to us...

365 Ways to Live the Law Of Attraction (day 11)
Put Your Mind To Work For You
A debt-free life, new friends, a loving life partner, plenty of money, a new car, or the dream job - Whatever the person desires will manifest. When someone decides to accelerate the process and works out a plan to allow for that manfestation, myriad opportunities begin to present themselves. A person working with the Law of Attraction need only change his or her mindset and be aware that the opportunies for manifestation of his or her desires will become more commonplace. It's as if the universe is working with you, putting wind in your sail of your dream ship to take you anywhere you want to go and give you the experiences, relationships, money, wealth, and things you most desire.

**My Two Cents... Do you remember in the end of Cinderella when she finally gets to marry the prince? That feeling that her dreams actually came true, that she had finally gotten what she wanted?? We can all achieve that actuality, it's not a fairy tale. However, like Cinderella we have to stay focused. She didn't give up just because she had a few extra chores, she didn't stop just because her step sisters were against her... She worked hard to achieve her dreams. You and I may not have talking mice or a fairy Godmother on our side, but we do have the Law. In many ways, it's the same thing... Difference being, the Law doesn't wear big blue dresses or forget where it left it's wand...

365 Ways to Live the Law Of Attraction (day 10)
Your Imagination is a Powerful Tool
Whether dreaming or awake, the mind thinks in images and symbols. Proponents of the Law or Attraction say that when we can clearly imagine having what we most want, the Law of Attraction takes over and gives it to us.
The time it takes for a dream to become reality doesn't really matter so much as getting the desired result. Some experts on the Law of Attraction have pointed out that as soon as someone begins focusing on the thing he or she really wants, the universe gets busy arranging or rearranging the necessary elements and circumstances to make manifestation of the thing possible. The process can be accelerated with a little planning.
Taken from the book 365 Ways to Live the Law of Attraction by Meera Lester (available in the Inspired Mama Goddess Amazon Book Store)
**My Two Cents... There is a big difference between imagining and daydreaming. When we truly imagine we are consciously focusing our wants and needs in to mental picture. Careless daydreams with no focus will amount to equally focus-less results.

365 Ways to Live the Law Of Attraction (day 9)
Know that Anything is Possible!
At first it may seem impossible that a person could shrink his debt, acquire wealth, and grow that wealth as much as his mind could imagine. But the Law of Attraction makes anything possible. There are a myriad books, CDs, tapes, etc. to teach individuals how to get rich. Often such books offer advice about how to assess your indebtedness, develope a financial plan, imagine putting every step of the plan in place, visualize what's going to happen, and actualize the events. In this way, the person accelerates the workings of the Law of Attraction.
Many people believe that divine consciousness permeates the universe and that when they align themselves in harmony with that consciousness, they become co-creators with the Divine of their destinies. Individuals can tap in to the realm of infinite potential and destinies. Through their thoughts, they draw in to their lives all circumstances, situations, relationships, experiences and things. The process is continuous and unending.

**My Two Cents...Whether you believe in a higher power or not, whether you call it God, Goddess, Divine Power, Higher Self or something else... The power is there, we simply have to train ourselves to tap in to it.

365 Ways to Live the Law Of Attraction (day 8)
Anyone Can Do It
Anyone can work with the Law of Attraction to deliberately make choices about what he wants and doesn't want in his life. He can use the law to help him work out his dreams, desires, and ambitions. So, too, he can repel the things he doesn't want. Indebtedness, worries, for example, can bring more debt. But when thoughts of poverty are replaced by images of abundance, the Law of Attraction springs in to action to replace lack with abundance.
The Law of Attraction is not wishful thinking, daydreaming, or momentary flights of fancy. A wish is not a strong enough intention. The law is always working to give people the very things they most desire.

**My Two Cents...Well, I'm not really sure there is much for me to add. Millions of people throughout history have used this idea with success... What's the real difference between them and you or me? They knew about it first! The law has always been at work for each and every one of us. We simply have to know how to put it to GOOD USE!

365 Ways to Live the Law Of Attraction (day 7)
Let Go of The Negatives, Focus on the Positives
A thorough understanding of the fundamentals of the Law of Attraction allows us to quickly achieve our goals and et more of the stuff we want and avoid attracting things we do now want. With deliberate and focused application of the priciples of the Law of Attraction, we can achieve our full human potential and perhaps work together toward creating a more harmonious and just world.
The Law of Attraction, as already noted, works in response to thoughts that have become energized. What if you deliberately focused your attention on something that you wanted to call forth in your life... something that you deeply desired to manifest? Would the Law of Attraction bring it to you? The answer is yes... Always.
Taken from the book 365 Ways to Live the Law of Attraction by Meera Lester (available in the Inspired Mama Goddess Amazon Book Store)
**My Two Cents... Placing focus behind thoughts has been a practice since the beginning of time and thought. For millions of modern practicing witches, this is the essential point in working magick. The use of tools, candles, herbs and even rhyme to help the mind focus on a desired outcome is simply a way of life. For millions of others prayer is a great form of this same principal. And yet to others this is something completely new... In either case, the Law Of Attraction is the unseen force making the magick!

365 Ways to Live the Law Of Attraction (day 6)
Be Aware of Your Thoughts
It is important to understand that your thoughts can attract things you don't want. Whatever you fear most and think about often of obsessively can also manifest. For example, you may love hiking, but your greatest fear is that someday you'll encounter a rattlesnake. Repetitive thoughts that are charged with fear can set up the experience unless you let go of it. It's better th banish such dark thoughts. Don't give up hiking in the desert. Instead, be measured, thoughtful, studied and prudent about undertaking such a hike. Knowing what precautions to take in order to have a safe hike. Replace your fearful thoughts with a surefire belief in a higher power working through you and with you at all times ensuring your safety.

**My Two Cents... The Law simply states that what we put out we get back. So, if our focus is always on the snake and not the hike, it's inevitable that we will find one... When we find out minds focusing on the negative it's okay to make a point to stop and think of something else. Just because you are correcting yourself doesn't mean you have to ever admit to being wrong!

365 Ways to Live the Law Of Attraction (day 5)
The Law in Modern Times
Some say the Law of Attraction concept is possibly just an updated version of teachings of the late Wallace Wattle (1860-1911) and those of Dr. Norman Vincent Peale (1898-1993.) Wattle, who was born into poverty and became wealthy, wrote about the science of getting rich. Peale became famous for his ideas about the power of positive thinking. Both men emphasized the role of conscious and intensely focused thought in achieving the desired goal. Both men believed in a higher power and work in human lives. Wattles referred to it as "formless" intelligence and substance. Peale, a clergyman, spoke and wrote the power and presence of God.

**My Two Cents... Hmm... I will be doing some research on these men! It's amazing to me that this is a Law or at least an idea that people from all forms of religious background can get behind. May you call that ultimate energy resource the Universe, God, Goddess or something else it's wonderful that everyone has at least one thing to agree on...

365 Ways to Live the Law Of Attraction (day 4)
Origins of the Law
According to some who have studied it, the universal great Law of Attraction has been with us since the beginning of time, perhaps even at the moment of creation and the beginning of thought. Others say it's impossible to pinpoint exactly when the concept entered human consciousness.
Some self-help experts say the Law of Attraction possibly dates as far back as 6,000 or 7,000 years ago where it found expression in the mystical traditions and beliefs of the ancients. Magicians of long ago certainly observed and wrote about affinities between things before the advents of science. Translations of ancient texts suggest that our spiritual ancestors thought a lot about the heaven and earth and all the creatures that existed as well as pondered the relationships between things.

**My two cents... As I said before I am no expert. But it simply makes sense to me that the Law is something beyond you and me. It's impossible for us to understand exactly when this Law came in to effect. However, I would have to think that it's at least as old as creation itself, if not older being that it's not just something we created. It's nature and the natural transference of energy from us to the universe and back...

365 Ways to Live the Law Of Attraction (day 3)
Attraction Can Bring What You DO or DON'T Want
Proponents of the Law Of Attraction say that the law brings you whatever you think about most. Thoughts can become emotionally charged. When you desire something, say, a new outfit, you also feel emotion each time your mind things about having that new dress, jacket, shoes, and handbag. You are filled with excitement at the possibility of having your desire fulfilled. You believe you can have it. You deserve it. It's coming. You consider ways to speed up getting the outfit. You might even develop a plan of action for getting the money to go shopping at the mall.
Taken from the book 365 Ways to Live the Law of Attraction by Meera Lester (available in the Inspired Mama Goddess Amazon Book Store)
**My two cents... Something I think that should have been touched on here was like the title says. That emotion can work both for or against us. If we are placing our positive emotion into getting that new outfit, feeling the joy of having it even before we buy it and making a plan of attack to go and get it, chances are likely that we will get the outfit. But it works in reverse as well. If you are only focused on the idea that you DON'T have the outfit, or that you CAN'T afford it or feeling bad because you don't have it yet, you are not going to attract the proper energy to change that situation... Like Attracts Like. So, when we focus on what we DON'T have we are only adding to the list. When we begin to focus on what we DO have or how happy we will be when we DO have something (even in the future) we are attracting more to us.

365 Ways to Live the Law Of Attraction (day 2)
How the Law Works
If you've heard old adages such as, "like attracts like," "birds of a feather flock together," as above, so below," and "what you send out comes back multiplied many times over," or the words in the New Testament spoken by Jesus, "ask and ye shall receive," then you may have an idea of what the Law of Attraction is. Simply put, the Law of Attraction asserts that a person's thoughts objects, people and situations and circumstances, both positive and negative, into his or her life. Proponents of the Law of Attraction assert that the law brings you what you desire when you are 1) clear about what you want, 2) energize your desire for the item with thoughts, emotion, visual imagery, and also talk about it and believe it is coming, and 3) feel and express gratitude for what you already have and that which you desire, even if it has not yet come in to your experience.
Taken from the book 365 Ways to Live the Law of Attraction by Meera Lester (available in the Inspired Mama Goddess Amazon Book Store)
**My two cents ~ I love how this points out the idea that we have all already come in to contact with the Law and don't even know it. When I first heard about the Law I was so clueless as to what was being said. Then once I started to do my research I started to understand that this was something I have heard over and over again since I was small... That made it much easier for me to accept. Many times you will hear about these new fad books or systems and they are not always on the up and up... But in this case the Law has been around since time began and we can see that in the practices, stories and myths surrounding both Ancient and Present day cultures and religions all over the world... It almost feels like I'm taping in to that Ancient Understanding... It's truly a wonderful feeling once you start to learn, accept and use the Law in your own life.

...Man In The Mirror...
Through the years I have always been a HUGE Michael Jackson Fan! I grew up listening and loving and with his passing this past year I feel as if I lost a friend... I know that many people have had "issues" with Michael through the last few decades, but not even those that dislike him due to rumors of abuse or his battle with drugs can not deny that he had a great talent and a great love for people of all shapes, sizes and color. His love for the less fortunate has been an inspiration for me my entire life and will always continue to be so. As I make a conciouse disision to reach out to those less fortunate than myself on a regular basis, my hope is that you all can and will do the same. It's unfortunate that in a world so bright and beautiful there are still those in need, still hungry and still poor. We can make a difference - Together we can change the world.
This video, and the song itself, have always served as an inspiration to me. It's so easy these days to watch the news, pick up a paper or turn on the radio and get depressed about the state of the world around us. It is easy to feel small and helpless to change anything. Crime, Hunger, War, Sickness and Misery flood the world around, as they always have. You may think, I can't change anything, why try? Well, you are PARTLY right. You CAN'T change the world... But you CAN change YOU! And that makes a difference.
I implore you to make a commitment to change YOUR way of thinking, change just ONE thing about YOU that you don't like. And you will see not just a difference in you but also in those around you. It's hard to see how any one person can make a real change in the world, but by changing YOU, you can help to change others and they in turn help even more.
What ever it takes to change you is worth it in the end. Smile for an extra 10 minutes a day and see the difference in your life. Help just one person a week with their groceries or house and watch their mood and yours change. Feed just one hungry person a week and see how you can not just change your outlook but others.
Changing you - Changes the world!
So in the words of the Late Great Michael Jackson - "If you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make a change!"
What are YOU going to change to make your world a better place?

I am hoping that by doing this I will not only help myself to find a better me, but help you to do the same. We all have room to grow and this is the year for it! By this time next year, we will all have the understanding, and know how needed to be rulers of our own destiny!

365 Ways To Live the Law Of Attraction (Day 1)
Modern spiritual seekers have called the Law of Attraction a recently discovered ancient secret teaching. Indeed, the law is ancient in its origins. Whether or not it was ever lost or purposefully kept secret could be argued, but what is true is that through the centuries, various spiritual teachers, philosophers, and others have mentioned or discussed the Law of Attraction, albeit calling it by different names in their teachings or writings. Today, renewed intrest in the subject has catapulted the ages-old concept into mainstream popular culture while simultaneously placing it under a lens of scrutiny.
You may already be familiar with the concept of the law. The popular books and CDs about the Law of Attraction by Americans Esther and Jerry Hicks and Canadian Michael Losier, among others, as well as the mega hit, The Secret, by Australian Rhonda Byrne have put principles of that universal spiritual law into greater public awareness.
